Skills Development 5th November

The skills I have learnt are how to use white balance, using colour bars, and how to record/playback on a camera.
Colour bars are used to calibrate video and television, the are used so you don't lose any of your footage. record and playbacks on the camera are so you can record any footage and to play back so you can see if the footage has actually recorded or if you need to do a certain scene again.
I've also learnt how to control the speed of the footage and to add slow motion sections into my footage. I found it quite hard to do at first but when i got told how to do it more in detail i understood it more clearly so in the end i found it really easy to do, we did this to set a mood for the advert such as happy and exciting or emotional. I also used chrome key to get rid of colour where i didn't want it to make certain things stand out so the audience know what is important and what isn't (will make them look at the object that is uneven to the rest).
I learnt how to add effects into the footage we captured i found this really easy to do and a lot of fun, we did this so we knew how to add effects if we wanted to in our footage.
